UNDER 14’s
The U14s mark a key stage in player development, with a shift to more competitive, structured, and physically demanding rugby. Now playing full 15-a-side, players focus on positional roles, tactical play, and team cohesion.
Training builds on core skills while introducing game strategies—phase play, defence, attack patterns, and kicking. Technical work like scrums, lineouts, rucks, and mauls becomes more detailed, helping players understand their role within the team.
Communication and leadership are central. Players are encouraged to guide play, support teammates, and solve problems on the field. All players get opportunities to grow in confidence, decision-making, and game awareness.
Player welfare remains vital. Contact is introduced progressively and safely, with sessions including warm-ups, conditioning, and recovery to protect growing bodies.
The season includes regular fixtures—league matches, festivals, cups, and friendlies—giving players valuable experience and helping them mature as strong, confident teammates.
