Saxons Squad Team Manager
Southend Saxons RFC are recruiting a driven and organised Joint Team Manager to support our Senior Squad competing in Regional 1.
With a talented squad, strong coaching group and clear ambitions to push towards the top end of the league, this is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of our senior rugby programme.
We are looking for someone who wants to help create a high-performance environment within a community club setting.
The Role
To provide high-quality administrative, logistical, and operational support to the Saxons playing squad and coaching team. You will play a central role in ensuring the smooth weekly running of the Saxons squad allowing players and coaches to focus fully on performance.
From managing availability and matchday logistics to supporting compliance with league regulations, the Team Manager is vital to delivering a professional rugby operation.
Coordinate player availability, squad communication and weekly admin
Liaise with opposition clubs, match officials and league administrators
Organise travel, facilities and matchday preparation
Ensure all RFU and league requirements are met
Support coaching and medical staff with squad management
Act as the operational lead on matchdays
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is
Highly organised and dependable
A strong communicator who enjoys working in a team environment
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced matchday setting
Available on Saturdays throughout the season
Passionate about helping a senior squad succeed
Experience in rugby or team management is beneficial but not essential.
Commitment
Approx. 2-4 hours midweek
Matchday involvement every Saturday
Occasional planning meetings
