VOLUNTEERING WITH SRFC

Become a volunteer.

At Southend Rugby club we simply couldn’t run without our volunteers. We would love to have you on board as a volunteer in rugby. Find out how you can get involved below.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone! There are thousands of people giving up their time to support rugby clubs up and down the country. You don’t need to be a player or have any previous experience of rugby to join them and make a difference, every volunteer is welcomed and the more we have at SRFC the better we become as a rugby family.

How can I get involved?

If you would like to get involved there are a plenty of opportunities to find your place on the team at SRFC…

From on-field roles such as coaching to off-field roles such as helping with catering, event management, administration, facility development or marketing and communications – there’s a role for you.

Most of us want to make a difference, so volunteering at SRFC  is a great place to start. If you are already a member of the club, then get in touch with the committee who will let you know how you can get involved. The more the merrier.

What should I expect?

Giving up your time to volunteer can not only help the club, but also can give you a lot of enjoyment being part of a great club. It’s been proven that volunteering has a positive effect on mental health, can help to boost confidence and is a great way to meet new people.

Volunteering doesn’t need to be a full-time commitment either. There are plenty of smaller tasks that you can help with or one-off events that need a team of people to pitch in.

There are lots of opportunities within the club to get involved and be a part of a growing tea
