About the Southend Sealions
The Southend Sealions are the largest all-inclusive rugby team in South Essex, built on the belief that rugby should be open, fun, and accessible to everyone—no matter your background, experience, or ability.
Formed at the end of 2024, the Sealions have already grown to more than 30 regular players, with new members joining every week. Many of our players are completely new to the sport, but with the guidance of our coach, Alan Harvey, and the welcoming spirit of the club, we’ve quickly built a squad that is making a big impact both on and off the pitch.

The Sealions meet every Tuesday at Warners Bridge, where we train, learn, and play the game together.

When and were do we train?
July - Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
August - April - Tuesday & Thursday
Arrival between 18:30 and 19:00
Training ordinarily runs from 19:30 - 20:45
Early arrival allows for physio activity to take palce before training, get strapping and assements out of the way early to save interfering with the session, and allows those without the need for treatment or assessment to undertake extras on key skill or performance areas that have been highlighted to players by the coaching panel.

Saturday afternoons
Times: 15:00 for all home games and variable times for away fixtures of either 14:00, 14:30 or 15:00 with the slight posibility that a fixture may be moved to a late afternoon/evening (all times are updated regularly and these are for guidance only)
