Dear all.
As from 1st March I will take over the running of the monthly prize draw. Firstly, I would like to thank Nathan Strange for setting this up from day one and running with it over the years and also a big thank you to all who have supported this throughout the years and I hope we can count on your continuing support.
The way it works is quite simple, £5 a ticket, no limit on the number of tickets, paid by standing order and 50% of the monthly takings goes towards the monthly prize and the remaining money to the club. So, the more people that participate the higher the prize and the more we raise for the club.
What I would like to do is put the money towards specific projects rather than it just going into the coffers. Our first project would be to buy the Rational Oven that is already in the kitchen, Tracy’s pride and joy! We have a choice to either buy it or lose it as Rational want it back if we do not purchase it. The cost is about £4000, which very kindly, Grey Simmonds have offered to pay upfront so that we can pay them back monthly.
So, my target is to get at least 100 tickets sold per month, more would be great, so we can pay back the loan at a minimum of £250 per month and have 3 prizes per month, £125, £75 and £50, as a minimum. I’m sure you will agree these are great odds!!!
The prize draw is open to anyone who wishes to help our great club in these difficult times so please, if you can, support this and also pass on to anyone who you think will be interested.
